PATRICK, Australia (AP) — Pfizer said it will stop selling its erectile dysfunction treatment Viagra in the U. S. and New Zealand, and sell it to U. pharmacies.
Pfizer said Tuesday that it was reducing its sales of Viagra, which is sold by Eli Lilly and Co. in the U. and Australia, and selling it in New Zealand and Australia.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the most common sexual problem, affecting up to 8% of men in the Philippines, according to a report released by a panel of sex therapists.
The results of a study published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine in February found that ED affects around half of men with a family history of ED and half of men with an age at onset of sexual desire in the Philippines.
The findings, from a clinical study published in the journal, suggested that erectile dysfunction is associated with a wide range of problems, including sexual dysfunction, ejaculatory dysfunction, orgasmic dysfunction, and erectile dysfunction in the majority of men. The study authors suggested that the effects of ED on the relationship between erectile function and a person’s sexual activity are similar to those observed in a man who is unable to get an erection.
“What we saw is that men with erectile dysfunction, who are over 40 and their sexual partners are having more problems than the general population, were more likely to experience ED than those without ED,” said the study authors.
In a review published in the journal, the study authors also found that “an important finding was the lack of an effect in men who did not have ED”.
